Capstone 1: Innovation Capabilities within Health Systems are a Strategic Imperative

This 3-part webcast is the foundational session that covers the basics.  Even if you are familiar with innovation, this recording focuses on innovation at Trinity Health and how both System-level and Regional Health Ministry (RHM) level efforts are essential for the long-term success of the Health System.

Session Goals:

This session focuses on a panel discussion with 3 innovation champions from other leading health systems:  UCLA, OSF and Providence. During the conversation, they share their perspectives on how each of their respective organizations are framing innovation and the specific role each plays in moving these efforts forward.

Session Outcomes:

After watching this web-session you should:

  1. Recognize innovation jobs differ based on how a specific institution is structuring its innovation capabilities
  2. Feel connected with a larger community of healthcare innovators

Capstone 2: Drafting Innovation Performance Goals

 

Session Goals:

This session focuses on how to develop innovation goals and how they are different from performance excellence goals. 

Session Outcomes:

After watching the web-session you should:

  1. Articulate the reasons why Trinity Health is supportive of crafting goals in both of these important areas
  2. Be able to craft either an innovation goal or a performance excellence goal and tell the difference between them
  3. Feel confident working with direct reports and explaining how these goals fit into their individual development plans

Session Goals:

This session focuses on three different care delivery innovations that were ‘born' within health systems and the unique go-to-market journeys that each took. This recording provides a practical look at what it takes to fully commercialize and innovation.

  1. Recognize the vital role that passion for solving an important problem plays in the commercialization journey
